Job Description:
About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting supporting pupils aged 10–16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require tailored support to thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
*Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
*Support classroom activities and maintain a calm, structured environment.
*Promote emotional resilience and positive social interaction.
*Work collaboratively with teachers and therapeutic staff.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEN needs (desirable).
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
*Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
*Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) preferred.
