Description
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Supervisor will include:
*Supervise the accounts payable team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
*Review and reconcile supplier statements to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
*Oversee the preparation of payment runs.
*Monitor and manage accounts payable processes, identifying areas for improvement.
*Maintain relationships with suppliers and address queries professionally and effectively.
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
*Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
*Provide training and guidance to team members as needed.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Supervisor should have:
*Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role ideally with experience supervising a team.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
*Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
*Knowledge of financial regulations and internal control practices.
*A proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks
