We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the Finance Manager in ensuring financial accounting compliance with UK regulations, international standards (IFRS), and Head Office policies. This role is crucial for maintaining financial risk/process control and governance, and offers the opportunity to engage significantly in regulatory reporting and financial management tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Support the Finance Manager with financial accounting tasks in line with UK regulations, IFRS, and Head Office policies.
*Assist in financial risk and process control, including reconciliation, expense control, and management.
*Support regulatory reporting to entities such as the Bank of England PRA, FCA, and HMRC, including tasks related to UK taxation and transfer pricing.
*Provide insights for managing and optimising the branch liquidity position in collaboration with the UK branch ALCO.
*Support other International Banking Group (IBG) Finance deliverables, including system implementations (e.g., T24 to Flexcube migration), managing ERP system implementations, new product launches, and AI/Gen AI implementation.
*Maintain key stakeholder interactions with the MB UK finance manager, branch seniors, and peers in operations, technology, and compliance.
*Work closely with Group Finance, Group Tax team, and as required with IBG Head of Finance.
*Manage significant interactions with external vendors and the Transformation office during project implementation and post-implementation support phases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Accountant.
*At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
*Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
*Experience with financial software implementations, such as Oracle Flexcube and Oracle ERP systems.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide solutions to operational and project-related issues.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
