Job Description:
Lancaster School - Teaching Assistant - Level 2
*Hourly Rate: £14.63
*Location: Lancaster
*Job Type: Full-time
*Start January 2026 until July 2026
Join a friendly and supportive school in Lancaster as a Teaching Assistant, working in either KS1 or KS2. This role offers a supportive environment with ongoing development opportunities, including free CPD and training. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their experience. Please state your preference on application and highlight any associated skills which suit either key-stage.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in the delivery of daily educational activities within the classroom.
*Support the teacher in preparing materials and resources for lessons.
*Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive learning environment.
*Provide individual support to students, aiding their academic and personal development.
*Assist with the supervision of students during non-classroom times, including lunch and recess.
*Participate in and contribute to meetings and professional development sessions as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*A commitment to ongoing professional development.
*A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s learning.
*Reliable, punctual and committed to working full time, long term without repeated absence.
