Mechanical Fitter

Rate: £17.63 per hour + holiday pay

Location: CV23 area

Hours: Monday to Friday, normal days

Job Type: 6 month contract

Start Date: ASAP

We’re seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join a forward-thinking team in the CV23 area for an initial 6-month contract with an immediate start available.

Mechanical fitter duties:

*Mechanical and hydraulic assembly and/or end-of-line testing of components
*Using measurement tools like verniers and micrometers for precision inspection
*Supporting quality investigations and contributing to continuous improvement projects
*Navigating basic systems and structured processes effectively
*Managing time and tasks to meet tight deadlines
*Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in line with company standards


Mechanical fitter skills required:

*Proven mechanical assembly and/or test skills
*Knowledge of hydraulic systems and quality control processes
*Confidence using standard measurement tools
*Intermediate computer literacy – especially MS Office
*A self-motivated attitude with strong organisational skills
*GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade C or above)
*Ideally, a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience
