Job Description:
Warehouse Manager
*Annual Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
*Location: Norwich
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee our Norwich-based operations. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, optimising warehouse capacity, and ensuring efficient goods distribution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, particularly in multi-site operations, and a strong focus on continuous improvement and stock control.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee health and safety processes and practices within the warehouse and distribution areas.
*Develop and implement best-in-class warehouse processes and procedures.
*Implement robust systems to monitor and manage stock levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ensure data accuracy.
*Manage Goods In/Out and all distribution areas to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
*Lead and motivate the team, ensuring effective allocation of work and maximisation of output.
*Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, equipment, and facilities.
*Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
*Manage and control warehouse budgets to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising service or quality.
*Oversee cycle counts and stock control processes, aligning all stocks in the business and conducting investigations as necessary.
*Regularly review distribution networks and provide cost-saving recommendations.
*Utilize current scanning platforms to ensure accuracy of stock, including finished goods and packaging.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Extensive management experience in warehousing, preferably in a multi-site operation.
*Demonstrated ability to embed a best-in-class safety culture.
*Proven track record in implementing and reviewing continuous improvement plans.
*Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
*Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, HACCP, COSHH, and SOPs.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other relevant software.
*Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage at all levels.
*Good numerical ability and commercial awareness.
