Senior Paraplanner
Contract Type: Permanent, hybrid working (minimum 3 days in the office)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire (occasional travel to Surrey)
Salary: Up to £55,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
I am seeking an experienced and technically minded Senior Paraplanner to join a small, collaborative advisory and technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoys contributing to a team where their input is genuinely valued.
Our practice specialises in providing financial planning solutions for high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting advisers and ensuring clients receive exceptional technical service.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver high-level technical paraplanning support, including financial strategies, plans, and product recommendations.
*Work closely with advisers and administrators to achieve client objectives and identify effective planning opportunities.
*Construct financial planning solutions across investments, retirement, tax, and estate planning, including cashflow modelling.
*Prepare clear, compliant reports and illustrations to support recommendations.
*Handle cases from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
*Provide technical expertise on queries and calculations (e.g., LTA, IHT, CGT).
*Assist with tax calculations, product comparisons, and review meeting preparation.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and internal processes.
Skills & Experience
*Minimum 3 years’ paraplanning experience within a wealth management environment
*Level 4 Diploma qualified or working towards it (Chartered status advantageous).
*Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, trusts, and tax planning.
*Proficient in research tools (e.g., FE Analytics, Voyant) and Microsoft Office.
*Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
