Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care in a 3 bedded LD Children’s home Located in Greater Manchester. As the Deputy Manager you will assist the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the home while providing a Safe and Nurturing environment where Children can thrive.
About the Role
Deliver high quality care to our young people
To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
To review the young people’s care plans and other associated documentation
To liaise with Local Authorities and external providers
To support the Manager with the day to day running of the home
To run the home in the absence of the Manager
To complete on-call duties as and when required
To have strong communication skills
To have a strong working knowledge of current legislation e.g. Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
To provide support and positive role modelling to the staff team, completion of regular supervisions.
Experience in supporting Children with Early life Trauma, Challenging Behaviours, LD and Neglect.
Requirements
Must have a full manual driving licence
Must be flexible with shifts and available for days, nights and sleep ins - generous sleep in rate
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
A clear career and progression path, and willing to develop into a Registered Children’s Home Manager in the future with the ambition to complete your Level 5 in Children’s Residential.
To participate in further continuing professional development support the needs of our young people
