Job Description:
Lettings Valuer / Housing Lettings Procurement Officer
Location: SE1, London (Office-Based with Field Work)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 basic, OTE £55,000+
Company Overview
My client is a rapidly expanding property services organisation working with local authorities, registered housing providers, and private landlords across London and the Home Counties. They are established in Croydon, East London, and Buckinghamshire and are now growing their presence across West, Southwest, and Northwest London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, a proactive culture, and a strong track record in delivering high-quality lettings and housing solutions.
Role Overview
My client is seeking a driven, proactive Lettings Valuer / Housing Lettings Procurement Officer to lead growth within a newly widened West London territory. This is a true hunter role, ideal for someone energetic, motivated, and confident generating new business independently. The core objective is to secure new private landlord instructions for placement with councils and housing associations. Commission is paid per unit, offering strong earning potential for high performers.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Lead Generation
* Proactively source, approach, and secure new private landlord instructions across the designated territory.
* Build and maintain a strong pipeline through outbound activity, networking, field appointments, and relationship-building.
* Promote the organisation’s services to private landlords, agents, and local property stakeholders.
Territory Management
* Drive business development across key West London areas, including Hammersmith and Fulham, Kingston, Teddington, Richmond, Isleworth, Twickenham, Ealing, Harlesden, and potentially Camberwell South.
* Re-establish coverage in areas previously served, including North and Northwest London.
* Plan your day from the SE1 office, then spend afternoons in the field conducting appointments and generating new business.
Landlord Engagement and Valuations
* Conduct valuations, property visits, and suitability assessments for various council and housing association schemes.
* Negotiate terms with landlords and secure signed agreements.
* Ensure each deal meets internal commercial requirements, with commission paid on the net value of each instruction.
Administration and Reporting
* Complete all required compliance documentation, CRM updates, and administrative tasks.
* Provide regular updates to management on pipeline activity, performance, and regional opportunities.
Candidate Profile
Essential Attributes
* Highly proactive, energetic self-starter with a hunter mentality.
* Confident in outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and independent lead generation.
* Strong negotiation skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to close deals.
* Organised and capable of managing a large territory effectively.
Experience
* Ideally comes from a structured corporate lettings environment or similar property services organisation.
* Comfortable working in a smaller, fast-paced, entrepreneurial business where autonomy is essential.
* Background in lettings valuations, landlord acquisition, or housing procurement is strongly preferred.
Location
* Based in the SE1 office, with a preference for candidates living in or near West London such as Brentford, Isleworth, Richmond, Ealing, or Twickenham.
* Local area knowledge and reduced travel time to the territory are strong advantages.
Remuneration and Benefits
* Basic salary between £35,000 and £40,000.
* OTE £55,000 or more, uncapped and commission-based.
* Commission is paid based on the net value of each completed deal.
* Rewards both deal volume and overall profitability.
* Full commission structure is explained during the interview process.
* Full-time office-based contract with substantial field work.
* Clear opportunities for progression as the client expands across London.
