We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) to students enrolled in Level 3 BTEC Engineering and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about engineering education and proficient in industry-standard CAD/CAM software.

*Location: East London
*Duration: Temporary (Until end of January 2026)
*Salary: £28-£38ph


Day-to-day of the role of a Mechanican Engineering Lecturer:*Deliver engaging and effective lessons in CAD/CAM using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Fusion 360.
*Teach mechanical engineering principles relevant to design and manufacturing.
*Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners at Level 3 and HND.
*Contribute to the development and updating of CAD/CAM modules within the engineering curriculum.
*Ensure alignment with awarding body requirements (Pearson BTEC and HND standards).
*Design and assess assignments, projects, and practical tasks.
*Provide constructive feedback to support learner progression.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CAD/CAM technologies and manufacturing trends.
*Embed employability and sustainability skills into teaching.
*Comply with internal and external quality standards.
*Participate in standardization and verification processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineering Role:*Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or willingness to achieve).
*Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
*Experience teaching BTEC Level 3 and HND learners.
