Job Description:
MedGen is looking for compassionate and dedicated mental healthcare assistants to provide essential care and support for children and adults with diverse needs. This role involves working closely with children and adults in care, those with disabilities, or those requiring emotional and behavioural support.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide emotional, social, and practical support to children/adults in care.
*Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.
*Work closely with families, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure children’s well-being.
*Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
*Help children/adults develop essential life skills and independence.
*Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
*Previous experience working as a healthcare assistant with children and adults who have mental health needs.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
*Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child welfare practices.
*Ability to provide a clinical reference.
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
*In date PMVA training.
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent) or 3years experience are needed.
*Personal Business car insurance.
