Purchasing Assistant (Temporary) – Sheffield - £32,000 - £35,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing global business in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant to support their team on an ongoing temporary contract. This role involves managing supplier relationships and maintaining accurate records to ensure operational efficiency.
The Role
*Raising and processing purchase orders in line with internal requirements
*Tracking and expediting orders so that deliveries arrive on time
*Communicating with suppliers by phone and email to resolve queries
*Ensuring products are sourced on time, meet specification and are competitively priced
*Sending requests for quotation to potential suppliers
*Updating the calibration register and arranging calibration activity
*Maintaining up to date pricing and supplier information within systems
*Setting up vendor accounts and completing credit application paperwork
*Managing supplier questionnaires
*Overseeing waste disposal activity in line with regulations
The Person
*Previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain role
*Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking with suppliers
*Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
*Solid IT skills with the ability to work accurately in systems
