Secondary Teacher – Hathershaw College Hathershaw College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Secondary Teacher to join our committed teaching team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, inspire students, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities * Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the curriculum and school policies

* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

* Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

* Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and strategies for effective teaching

* Uphold the school’s professional standards and Health & Safety policies

Essential Qualifications and Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Proven experience teaching in a secondary school setting

* Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills

* Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students

* DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain

Desirable Experience * Teaching across multiple key stages

* Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

* Proficiency in lesson planning, assessment, and data tracking

* Familiarity with digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and learning
