Senior Social Worker
Location: Pontefract (office-based with regular regional travel)
Salary: £40,787 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Benefits: 29 days annual leave + bank holidays, generous pension, Westfield Health, free parking, and more

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a national charity in Pontefract to provide mentorship and support to their team of Social Workers and Assistants. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Social Worker to lead the organisation’s welfare services.
Based in Pontefract, this role involves guiding a small, dedicated team to deliver practical advice, emotional support, and interventions that make a real difference in people’s lives. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about enhancing service quality and positively impacting the lives of those they support.
What You’ll do as a Senior Social Worker:
*Lead and support a team delivering person-centred social work services
*Oversee casework, ensuring clients receive high-quality, tailored support
*Act as the regional safeguarding lead
*Build partnerships with local organisations to strengthen community support
What You’ll Bring
*Qualified and registered Social Worker (degree or equivalent)
*Experience managing or mentoring within a social care setting
*Knowledge of welfare benefits, safeguarding, and older people/disability services
*Excellent communication, empathy, and leadership skills
*Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
