Job Description:
*Annual Salary: £28,000per annum
*Location: South Oxfordshire
*Job Type: Part-time to Full-time (30-37.5 hours per week) 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Our South Oxfordshire client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team on a 6 month contract basis. This role focuses primarily on managing a payables backlog within our Accounts department. The ideal candidate will ideally have a payables background and able to get to the South Oxfordshire office as this is a fully office based role.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage and reduce the payables backlog by ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations using Xero.
*Maintain up-to-date supplier records and manage daily bank transactions.
*Handle financial queries from suppliers, clients, and internal teams effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in accounts payable.
*Ideally skills in Xero and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
*Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
