VisionFR is delighted to be helping a dynamic, rapidly growing agency, in their search for
a highly skilled and motivated Contract Financial Controller. This is an exciting time to be joining this agency finance team providing financial leadership and ensuring the accuracy of their financial reporting.
The Role
As The ContractFinancial Controller you will play a key role in managing the accounting operations of the agency, including financial reporting and compliance. You will oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure adherence to internal controls. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Financial Controller Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts & financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
*Oversee & manage the month-end and year-end close processes, making sure the Finance Team complete all balance sheet reconciliations and adjustments.
*Review and Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity where needed.
*Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with the CFO
*Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide recommendations for improvements.
*Responsibilities for overseeing the sales ledger and purchase ledger team, training and improving their skill set when needed.
*Support on revenue recognition and revenue forecasting
*Over see the external Audit in January & liaising as the point of contact with the Auditors.
*Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
*Support in improving the Reporting dashboards making sure there is a smooth & Accurate transfer of information from the TB to the reports for meaningful information to the board.
*Assist in the preparation of financial analysis for senior management.
*Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency within the finance function.
*Adhoc projects working alongside the CFO.
Financial Controller Key Attributes required:
*Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred ( Finalists considered)
*Experience in a similar role within the advertising or media industry
*Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
*Proficiency in financial management software and spreadsheet skills.
*Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
*Excellent communication and team management skills.
*Good Systems & Excel Skills.
