Junior Assembly & Test Technician – Training Provided
Location: York area
Salary: £28,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, early Friday finish
Castle Employment are recruiting a Junior Assembly & Test Technician to join a small production team in the York area. This is a permanent role offering full training in electronic assembly, bench testing, PCB work and product servicing.
The role is well suited to someone practical with a production, assembly, repair or hands-on technical background who wants to build a career in electronics.
Key Responsibilities*Assist with electronic assembly and wiring
*Learn soldering, PCB rework and basic electronics testing
*Use multimeters and other test tools
*Support full product testing and servicing as skills develop
*Help with mechanical build, stock control and dispatch
*Follow structured processes and maintain accurate records
About You*Practical background in assembly, production or technical repair
*Interest in electronics, tinkering or problem-solving
*Confident using computers and open to learning test software
*Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
*Full right to work in the UK required
