Job Description:
Reed are supporting a long established accountancy practice with offices in Gloucestershire to recruit a permanent audit senior.
This is a newly created role due to the firms expansion and success in winning new clients.
Overview:
As an Audit Senior, you will lead and manage audit assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the partners and junior team members to deliver high-quality audit services.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, execute, and complete audit engagements for small to medium-sized businesses.
*Prepare audit files, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
*Supervise and mentor junior staff during audits, providing guidance and feedback.
*Liaise with clients to resolve queries and maintain strong relationships.
*Identify areas for improvement and advise clients on best practices.
*Ensure audits are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:
*ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist) with previous audit experience.
*Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
*Excellent communication and organizational skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
This role will be mainly office based but some hybrid working will available after training.
