Assembly & Test Engineer – Electronics / PCB / Bench Test

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, early Friday finish
Castle Employment are recruiting an experienced Assembly & Test Engineer to join a specialist engineering business in the York area. This is a hands-on role carrying out electronic assembly, wiring, PCB work, bench testing and full FAT testing.
You will work within a small production team responsible for the full build, test, repair and servicing of electronic products used in subsea and fibre-optic environments.
Key Responsibilities*Assemble and wire electronic and mechanical products to detailed documentation
*Carry out PCB assembly, rework and occasional SMT soldering
*Perform bench testing using multimeters, oscilloscopes and test software
*Complete full Factory Acceptance Testing including pressure testing
*Component-level fault-finding, repair and servicing
*Maintain accurate build, test and calibration records
*Follow structured quality processes within a controlled environment
About You*Experienced in electronic assembly, wiring and PCB repair
*Skilled in soldering and confident using electronic test equipment
*Strong IT skills and able to follow technical documentation
*High accuracy and strong attention to detail
*Full right to work in the UK required
