Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established and growing business based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, as they look to appoint a diligent and organised Purchase Ledger Assistant. This position is ideal for someone with strong experience in invoice processing who is looking to join a supportive finance team.
Responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Assistant:
*Scanning and processing incoming purchase invoices and delivery tickets accurately and efficiently
*Registering purchase invoices in the internal system, ensuring all information is complete and correct
*Matching invoices to delivery tickets and purchase orders, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
*Sending unmatched invoices for internal approval and following up where necessary
*Carrying out regular supplier statement reconciliations to ensure all invoices and credits are accounted for
*Managing and resolving purchase invoice queries via email and telephone with suppliers and internal teams
*Maintaining an accurate, organised, and up-to-date filing system for invoices, delivery tickets and statements
Person Specification:
*Proven experience in a similar Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role
*Strong IT and numeracy skills, with confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
*Excellent organisation and time-management skills
*Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
*A strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
*Flexible approach with the ability to support wider team needs when priorities shift
