This West Yorkshire based business are hiring for a Credit Controller to whip their ledger in to shape.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be the person politely reminding customers that they agreed to pay an invoice and that "the system must not have sent it" isn’t a real excuse.
*Chasing outstanding invoices across multiple global entities
*Handling queries (translation: calming customers while you figure out what actually went wrong)
*Liaising with other departments to fix issues that weren’t your fault but are now your problem
*Processing Direct Debits
*Posting customer payments
*Reviewing credit limits
*Releasing orders before the cut-off without causing logistical meltdowns
*Explaining ledger balances like a responsible adult
*General admin (the unavoidable stuff: filing, scanning, emails, phones)
*Jumping in to cover colleagues during holidays or sickness
What they want from you?
They’re not asking for a superhero, just someone competent, accurate, and capable of working to deadlines without dissolving into stress.
*Credit Control experience
*Good Excel skills
*Detail-obsessed accuracy
*Ability to work under pressure when end-of-month chaos starts
*SAP experience is nice but they will train you
