Job Description:
Finance Assistant
*Location: Central Windsor (discounted parking available but not on site)
*Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (office based). Some flexibility. Some travel to London required for training.
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Finance Assistant to join our team.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Take ownership of the formatting, processing, and correct coding of all sales invoices, ensuring timely collections of outstanding payments.
*Manage settlements and royalty statements.
*Keep Sales Ledger accounts reconciled by posting invoices, allocating payments, and investigating any discrepancies. Provide reports as needed.
*Assist and provide cover for the purchase ledger clerk.
*Responsible for inputting weekly/monthly journals as required.
*Collaborate with the purchase ledger clerk and wider teams to ensure that petty cash and cash on hand balances weekly.
*Support the finance team with the preparation of monthly and year-end statutory accounts for audit and compliance purposes.
*Provide administrative support during budget preparation.
*Utilize Excel for various analyses as needed - need to have strong Excel including Formula, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups
*Review systems, processes, and procedures continually to ensure efficiency and robustness, adding value to the company.
*Lead on creating a culture of pride in the workplace by ensuring clean and well-presented public and office spaces.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in reconciliations
*Proficiency in Excel including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
