Trainee Mortgage Administrator
Location: Silsden
Salary: up to £25k


We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Mortgage Administrator to join our clients advisory support function. This role is designed as a development position, providing hands-on experience in mortgage administration, protection research, and client documentation—supporting Financial Advisers while building a clear pathway toward becoming a Trainee Adviser.

You will play a key part in the smooth running of the advisory team by providing high-quality administrative support, conducting research, and ensuring client documentation is prepared accurately and on time. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in financial services who is looking to grow their technical knowledge and progress their career.


Key Responsibilities
Administration & Client Support
*Receive, open, scan and log all incoming correspondence into internal systems.
*Act as the first point of contact for clients and product providers, managing queries relating to their portfolio.
*Prepare and send client review packs to support Adviser annual reviews.
*Obtain valuations for pensions, protection, savings and investment products, consolidating data from multiple providers.
*Prepare and post documentation required for policy transfers or new client onboarding.
*Support with diary management and client appointment preparation.
Research & Report Preparation
*Conduct research using systems such as FE Analytics, Dynamic Planner and Smart Search.
*Complete fact finds and update client records accurately within Intelligent Office (iO).
*Conduct mortgage and protection research to support Adviser recommendations.
*Produce templated suitability reports for Advisers.
Systems & Workflow
*Use internal workflow and task management systems to track progress and meet deadlines.
*Maintain accurate, compliant records across all tasks.


Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
*Understanding of the financial services industry, ideally within an independent financial planning environment.
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
*Strong English and Maths skills.
