Job Description:
Senior Product Owne / Senior Product Manager
Shaping Product WOW - SAP Transformation - £600-700 p/d - Umbrella engagement - 2-3 days on site per week in London
Overview:
We’re after someone who has significant experience, who can work to set up Product WoW and work in a completely autonomous manner. We also ideally would like someone who has some HR domain knowledge, as we want someone who can challenge the teams on the value of doing the work, where appropriate.
The purpose of this Product Owner role is to drive the delivery of a backlog of iterative change to the SAP HR capability. This area has not historically had product ownership and whilst some steps have been taken to introduce Agile WoW, this is very much a self-starter role, where the holder will be expected to introduce/embed product ways of working.
Key tasks:
Operational excellence:
Working with the Senior Product Manager, the Scrum Master and Engineering colleagues, establish relevant Product backlog management. This will include:
*Ensuring that the Jira board is well managed and kept up to date
*Taking responsibility for the running of refinement and story development
*Establish a triage process for inbound demand to ensure that it is right to be delivered as a ’SAP small works’ piece of work, or if it needs to be treated as a mini project with its own resources and funding envelope
*Build a roadmap and longer term backlog of work.
Stakeholder management:
*Develop strong working relationships with banner and technology colleagues
*Align stakeholders to problem-solve.
Value-driven product development:
*Develop a scorecarding/value assessment model for inbound requests, to ensure that we are working on items that drive genuine value.
*Work with HR stakeholders to embed this WoW
Delivery management:
*Work with relevant colleagues to measure and improve time to value
*Work with the Senior PM and Engineering Manager to ensure teams are right-sized for the level of work being scheduled
Strategy development:
*Work with HR, EA, Engineering and Product colleagues to develop product/tech roadmaps based on functional needs
*Work with the Senior PM to ensure investment cases are delivered to underpin the strategy
