Meraki Talent is partnering with an established Insurance firm based in the heart of the City, looking for a HR Generalist to join their team on a contract basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop both UK/EU HR experience in a global company, working in a small close knit HR team.

This role needs someone to start in January 2026 at the latest, only short notice period will be considered.

You must have experience working in previous Insurance firms.

HR Generalist responsibilities:

*Act as a first point of contact for HR queries across the UK and EU.
*Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
*Manage the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth and consistent employee experience across regions.
*Process HRIS changes and maintain accurate and compliant employee records.
*Provide guidance on UK and EU HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
*Take ownership of monthly payroll processes, working closely with internal teams and external providers.
*Support employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and documentation.
*Coordinate training, development initiatives, and engagement activities.
*Contribute to and lead HR project work aimed at improving processes, tools, and employee experience.
*Prepare HR reports, metrics, and compliance documentation as required.
Person Specification:

*At least 3 years experience as a HR Generalist or similar role, across both the UK and EU.
*Must have experience working in Insurance sector. Knowledge of FCA/PRA regulations
*Good understanding of UK and EU employment law and HR best practices.
*Experience with HRIS systems and confident managing system updates or changes.
*Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
*Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
*Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
*Payroll experience (ownership or coordination) across multiple EU countries.
