Commercial & Business Development Specialist
Location: Hybrid working (minimum two days office-based)
Open to Full Time or Part-Time 3-4 days per week.

About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work across the organization, identifying and delivering opportunities for business growth, strengthening commercial offerings, and enhancing financial sustainability. Collaborating closely with the leadership team, you’ll combine strategic insight with hands-on delivery to increase revenue streams, grow membership, and develop partnerships.


Key Responsibilities
*Develop and implement a commercial growth strategy aligned with the organization’s mission.
*Identify new revenue opportunities, partnerships, and sponsorships.
*Drive membership growth through innovative campaigns and benefits.
*Promote training programs and events to maximize revenue.
*Build and manage relationships with partners, sponsors, and advertisers.
*Set and monitor performance targets, reporting progress to leadership.


About You
You’ll bring a proven track record in commercial or business development, ideally within a membership body, training provider, or not-for-profit organization. You’re a strategic thinker with strong relationship management and negotiation skills, and you thrive in a collaborative, hands-on environment.


Essential Skills & Experience
*Experience driving income growth across multiple revenue streams.
*Strong partnership-building and negotiation skills.
*Ability to develop and implement business plans and performance metrics.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable
*Understanding of the membership or professional body sector.
*Experience in sponsorship sales, marketing, or events.
