Quality Coordinator, Wigton, Cumbria
Salary – £30,000 to £38,000 + great benefits and progress
Monday- Thursday , Friday
MacArthur Recruitment are recruiting for a successful manufacturing organisation for this position. It offers you an opportunity to contribute and be an important part of their on-going quality journey in ISO 9001 and be involved with Best Practices.
The entry requirements are flexible and further specific training can be given – the most important aspects are your willingness to work with people and engage them with Quality; being able to help people overcome their resistance to change and take pride in a high-quality finished product. You should be visible, present and engaging on the shopfloor along with being a great communicator, well organised and have strong IT skills.
Key responsibilities for the role of Quality Coordinator:
*Implementing and maintaining quality management systems
*Conducting regular quality audits and inspections on the production floor
*Oversee quality across our manufacturing operations
*Working with external auditors and certification bodies
*Identifying quality issues and leading improvement initiatives
*Training and supporting production staff on quality standards
*Maintaining quality records and preparing performance reports
*Managing customer complaints and corrective actions
*Being the go-to person for all quality matters on site
Experience and characteristics required for the role of Quality Coordinator :
*A qualification in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience
*Experience in a manufacturing or quality role
*Experience doing quality checks, inspections or audits
*Solid IT skills including Excel
*Excellent organisational skills a keen eye for detail, enjoy practical problem-solving
*Clear communicator who can work with people at all levels in an engaging and genuine manner
*Self-motivated team player who’s willing to learn
Desirable:
*Higher qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent)
*Knowledge of ISO 9001 or quality systems
*Training or experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, 5S, 6S or Six Sigma
*Experience coaching or training others
*Full UK driving licence
