Purchase Ledger Clerk
*Job Type: Full-time
*Location: Office-based, Smethwick
*Salary: Up to £28,500
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our client’s finance department. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative business. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing valuable support to the finance department.
Day-to-day of the Role:
*Accurately process purchase invoices and perform three-way matching.
*Investigate and resolve invoice queries promptly.
*Reconcile supplier statements to ensure data integrity.
*Keep the purchase ledger system up to date.
*Assist with month-end tasks and ensure timely reporting.
Skills & Experience Required:
*Proven experience in accounts payable / purchase ledger or a similar role.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
*Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
*Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
