CNC Setter / Operator – 3 & 4 Axis Machining
Location: Kirbymoorside
Salary: £17.30–£17.92 per hour + £35 shift premium
Annual equivalent: £36,000–£41,000 depending on training and shift pattern
Castle Employment are recruiting a CNC Setter/Operator for a precision engineering manufacturer in Kirbymoorside. This is a permanent role working with modern CNC milling machinery, offering structured training and long-term progression.
Key Responsibilities*Setting and operating 3- and 4-axis CNC milling machines
*Completing offsets, tool changes and program edits
*Using Renishaw probing systems
*Reading engineering drawings and maintaining quality standards
*Recording part quantities, scrap and production data
*Managing tooling and cutter changes
About You*Skilled CNC Setter/Operator
*Experience with Fanuc, Haas or similar
*Strong understanding of CNC machining and probing
*Confident working to tight tolerances
Hours & Pay*Training: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour days, £17.30 per hour
*Post-probation: £17.92 per hour
*Progression: move onto 4-on-4-off day shift with a £35 shift premium per shift
