*Job Type: Part-time, 3 days/week
*Location: Office-based, Birmingham
*Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 FTE (pro-rata for 3 days/week)
Day-to-day of the role:
*Liaise with external accountants for monthly services, payroll, and year-end compliance.
*Process accounts payable and receivable.
*Prepare monthly management accounts and summaries.
*Assist with budgeting and cash flow monitoring.
*Ensure VAT returns and statutory filings are accurate and timely.
*Provide administrative support to senior management.
*Monitor expenses to ensure value for money.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
*Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel.
*Good understanding of UK accounting practices and VAT regulations.
*Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
*Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
*AAT Level 3+ qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
