Are you an experienced Science Technician with a background in schools or education? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technician to join a secondary school in Oldham as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities: ?? Setting up and preparing equipment for practical science lessons
?? Ensuring safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals in line with health and safety regulations
?? Managing and maintaining laboratory stock levels, ordering supplies as needed
?? Cleaning, maintaining, and organising scientific equipment
???�? Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions where required
?? Keeping accurate records of chemicals, equipment, and safety checks
Essential Requirements: ?? Must have prior experience working as a Science Technician in a school or educational setting
?? Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
?? Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
?? Ability to work independently and as part of a team
?? A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
