Front of House Manager
Location: Woodbridge, Suffolk
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, flexible hospitality hours

A beautiful sixteenth-century free house nestled in the idyllic Deben Valley. Steeped in history since the 1500s, our charming pub and restaurant combines rustic character with modern hospitality. Located near the stunning Suffolk coast and the vibrant market town of Woodbridge, we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for locals and visitors alike.
Our menu celebrates fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, with regular food theme nights, live music, and community events, there’s always something happening.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Front of House Manager to lead our team and deliver exceptional service in a warm, welcoming environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving venue and play a key role in its continued success.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead from the front: Manage and motivate the FOH team to deliver outstanding customer service.
*Operational excellence: Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during peak times.
*Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to maintain consistency and quality.
*Customer experience: Handle guest queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
*Team development: Recruit, train, and develop FOH staff to uphold our high standards.
*Stock & compliance: Manage stock levels, cash handling, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
*Event support: Assist in planning and delivering special events, theme nights, and seasonal celebrations.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience in a similar FOH management role within hospitality.
*Strong leadership and communication skills.
*A hands-on approach with a passion for customer service.
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
*Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
