Job Description:
RCN Officer – Yorkshire & Humber Region
Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working)
Hours: 35 per week | Full-time
Salary: Competitive (Grade F)
We’re looking for an RCN Officer to work alongside a Senior RCN Officer, supporting our members, activists, and branches. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll provide advice, representation, and guidance on education, employment, and professional practice matters.
What You’ll Do
*Manage your own portfolio of member cases, offering support and representation.
*Mentor and supervise RCN Stewards remotely.
*Build strong relationships with employers, trade unions, and stakeholders.
*Promote safe working environments and positive safety culture.
*Support learning and development programmes for members and activists.
*Assist with branch engagement, recruitment, and campaigning activities.
*Contribute to strategic objectives and champion equity, diversity, and inclusion.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
*Knowledge of health and social care issues impacting nurses and nursing support workers.
*Awareness of the NMC regulatory framework.
*Understanding of employment practices, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
*Knowledge of trade unions and healthcare organisations.
Desirable:
*NMC registration as a nurse or midwife.
