Shift Pattern: 8am-8pm Day / 8pm - 8am Night / 8am -11pm + Sleep
About the role:
As a Children & Young People’s Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people within residential settings and the community. Working with at least 2:1 staffing ratio, you’ll be ensuring safety, stability, and quality care always.
You’ll be:
*Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
*Supporting daily routines (from school runs and appointments to bedtimes and activities).
*Encouraging independence and personal development.
*Keeping accurate daily records (emotions, routines, activities, food diaries, and more).
*Helping manage money responsibly and keeping receipts.
*Identifying and reporting any safeguarding concerns.
*Supporting with personal care and household tasks when needed.
*Handling behaviour that challenges with patience, resilience, and confidence.
What we’re looking for:
*A caring, professional, and non-judgemental attitude
*Strong communication and problem-solving skills
*Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
*Good attention to detail when writing notes and reports
*Experience in social care or similar roles (advantageous but not essential)
*Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (preferred)
*A valid DBS (we can help you apply)
*A driver’s licence is a bonus as locations vary
