Job Description:
Procurement Business Partner
*Annual Salary: c.£46K - £57K (dependent on experience)
*Location: North Kent / South East London (Hybrid Working)
*Job Type: Permanent
Day-to-day responsibilities:
*Lead procurement activities for key contracts, managing tender processes, supplier engagement, and contract documentation.
*Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
*Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to plan and deliver procurements aligned with strategic objectives.
*Support teams in developing specifications, evaluation criteria, KPIs, and robust contracts.
*Conduct supplier reviews, spend analysis, and benchmarking to ensure best value.
*Promote social value through innovative procurement approaches.
*Provide expert procurement advice and training across the organisation.
*Support senior procurement leadership in policy development and system management.
*Overseeing a Procurement Assistant
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong understanding of the Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
*Proven experience in leading procurement tenders.
*Membership of the CIPS, or minimum Level 4.
*Excellent negotiation skills, analytical ability, and supplier assessment expertise.
*Proficiency in e-procurement tools and advanced MS Office skills.
