Job Description:
A rapidly evolving group of businesses in Leeds is undergoing a major systems and process transformation, and we’re seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide stability, leadership, and hands-on support during a critical period.
This is a broad, all-encompassing FC role - ideal for someone who can operate at pace, bring structure, and take ownership from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the finance function through a period of systems and process change.
*Full ownership of month-end close, management accounts and financial reporting.
*Oversee transactional finance, ensuring robust controls and timely delivery.
*Support systems transformation activity, contributing to process improvement and data integrity.
*Business partner across the group to drive performance, challenge assumptions and provide financial insight.
*Manage cash flow, balance sheet integrity, and compliance requirements.
*Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the finance team remains aligned and effective during change.
The Ideal Candidate:
*A seasoned Financial Controller with experience in multi-entity or group environments.
*Strong technical grounding with the ability to "get under the hood" of the numbers.
*Proven ability to manage systems change, finance transformation or ERP transitions.
*Hands-on, detail-focused and able to maintain BAU delivery while improvement work is ongoing.
*Immediately available or on a short notice period.
