Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career within a successful and growing property organisation?
My client is a dynamic property investment group with a substantial and expanding portfolio across the South of England. They also undertake their own redevelopment projects, managing all construction work directly in-house. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and qualified Senior Accountant to join their friendly team.
You will work alongside two other members of the accounts department and play a key role in managing and developing the financial operations of a business with multiple property entities and ongoing development projects.
Key Responsibilities
*Full-cycle bookkeeping and maintenance of accurate financial records.
*Preparation of management accounts and cashflow forecasts.
*Budgeting and variance analysis across property assets and development projects.
*VAT returns and compliance reporting specific to property transactions.
*Assisting with statutory accounts and year-end processes.
*Supporting audits and liaising with external accountants.
*Monthly payroll administration.
*Credit control, rent roll monitoring, and chasing arrears.
*Bank reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in all financial data.
*Reviewing and processing supplier invoices, service charges, and contractor payments.
*Providing financial insights to support property acquisitions, sales, and refinancing.
To apply for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
*Recognised bookkeeping or accounting qualification (AAT Level 4, ACCA, CIMA).
*Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
*Proficiency in QuickBooks (property sector experience highly advantageous).
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to manage multiple entities within a busy environment.
*Proactive mindset with a willingness to expand knowledge in property finance.
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.
