Robert Half have partnered with a Gloucester based organisation to support with the recruitment of a year-end accountant.
Title: Year End Accountant/Financial Accountant
Start: Immediately
Hybrid: 3 days on site, 2 remote (Gloucester)
Duration: 3 - 6 months
Day rate: Up to £420.00 per day
You will be responsible for:
*Prepare monthly financial statements, including group consolidations and intercompany elimination entries.
*Oversee the production of statutory accounts, corporation tax filings, and compliance-related reporting.
*Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting, inventory valuation processes, intercompany reconciliations, and the preparation of corporate and deferred tax calculations.
*Identify and implement control-focused enhancements to systems and processes, maintaining the internal control framework in partnership with Group Internal Audit.
*Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate to support an efficient annual audit.
*Develop commentary to highlight and interpret the key drivers behind financial performance.
