Job Description:
Reed are delighted to be working with a growing and expanding commercial organisation based in Central Bromley. They have asked us to support them with their aim of hiring a new Accounts Payable Clerk, who will join an accounting and finance team of 4.
The Accounts Payable Clerk role has been created through the re-organisation and restructuring of the function, to ensure it is fit for purpose and in line with their expansion plans. As an experienced finance professional with a proven track record of working in a high volume and fast paced accounts payable position, you will have the opportunity of using your experience to add value to an organisation in an exciting time of it’s development.
Our client values flexible working and offers a very generous hybrid working model of 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely.
As the newly appointed Accounts Payable Clerk, your duties and responsibilities will include :
*The timely processing of all UK non-stock invoices
*Ensure that all invoices are correctly coded and matched to relevant Purchase order.
*Gain approvals to pay from relevant departments as required
*Carry out regular Supplier statement reconciliations - requesting copy invoices/ PO numbers as required.
*Proactively respond to supplier queries, aiming to reach an effective and timely resolution.
*Log all queries and liaise with relevant internal departments as required to ensure prompt resolution.
*Set up New Supplier Accounts, ensuring accuracy.
As a new member of the finance team, your background, experience and skillsets will include :
*Proven accounts payable experience gained within a fast paced and high-volume environment.
*A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
*Able to organise & prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build strong relationships with external suppliers.
*Problem solving abilities
*Strong IT and Excel skills
Due to the urgency of this hire, our client will only consider candidates with a maximum of a 4 week notice period, or who are immediately available.
A salary up to £33,000 is available dependent on experience.
