Management Accountant – Robertsbridge

Our client, a growing group of companies operating across the UK and US, is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven and ambitious individual to support both day-to-day financial operations and higher-level analytical tasks. Sitting between the Group Head of Finance and the Accounts Executive, this role provides exposure to multi-entity, international accounting and offers a clear progression pathway towards Finance Manager level.

Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee transactional finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and bank reconciliations.
*Perform and review month-end close activities such as accruals, prepayments, journals, and reconciliations.
*Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records across all entities.
*Manage intercompany reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls.
*Prepare monthly management accounts.
*Conduct variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast), identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
*Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles.
*Support advanced financial analysis including profitability, investment cases, and cash-flow planning.
*Collaborate with operational teams to gather information and explain financial results.

Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
*AAT qualified and actively studying ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
*Strong Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and report building.
*Comfortable switching between operational transactional tasks and strategic analysis.
*Ability to interpret financial information and communicate insights clearly.
*Solution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*Motivated to achieve full qualification and progress within a group finance structure.
