We’re working with a growing SME manufacturing business that’s looking to bring on a Financial Controller early in 2026. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the site’s financial performance, strengthen controls, and work closely with operational teams. Salary: £65,000-£75,000 per annum
Type: Full-time, Permanent
What you’ll be doing:
*Oversee all plant-level financial reporting and month-end close activities.
*Lead cost accounting, inventory control, and variance analysis to support efficient production.
*Provide clear, insightful financial commentary to help senior management make informed decisions.
*Maintain strong internal controls across the site.
*Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.
*Partner with operational teams to provide real-time financial support.
*Streamline processes and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
*Work with external auditors and key internal stakeholders.
*Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
What we’re looking for: *ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant.
*Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within an SME.
*Strong understanding of cost accounting and plant financial management.
*Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with non-finance colleagues.
*Advanced Excel skills and strong systems experience.
