Special Needs Teaching Assistant - KS1 (Full Time)
Agency: Tempest Resourcing
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Location: Greater Manchester
Tempest Resourcing are recruiting for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils with a range of additional needs, primarily Autism (ASC), including some non-verbal learners. This is a full-time role within a warm, nurturing school environment with small class sizes and a strong, supportive team.
What the role involves: * Supporting KS1 pupils with Autism and communication needs
* Working with both verbal and non-verbal children
* Providing targeted support inside and outside the classroom
* Engaging in a physically active and fast-paced school day
* Assisting with early learning goals - Early Years Curriculum knowledge preferred
* Helping to create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
What we’re looking for: * Experience supporting children with additional needs (ASC essential)
* Confidence working with KS1 learners
* Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
* Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach
* Someone who can adapt quickly and work as part of a team
