Job Description:
*Location: Thurrock
*Reports To: HR Manager
*£45,000 - £50,000 per annum
The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s people strategy by managing core HR functions including recruitment, training and development, learning and development, and day-to-day HR operations. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can balance operational HR tasks with strategic projects to enhance employee engagement and organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
*Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for the overall business, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
*Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
*Liaise with third-party companies for recruitment campaigns and other business needs.
*Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
*Build talent pipelines through networking, career fairs, and partnerships with educational institutions.
Training & Development:
*Identify training needs through performance reviews, skills gap analysis, and consultation with managers.
*Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
*Manage internal training programs through to completion and monitor effectiveness.
*Coordinate external training providers and manage training budgets.
Learning & Development:
*Support the implementation of learning and development frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
*Develop career development plans and succession planning initiatives.
*Promote continuous learning through e-learning platforms, workshops, and mentoring programs.
*Track and report on learning metrics and employee progress.
Employee Relations & HR Operations:
*Deal with daily employee issues and provide timely resolutions.
*Manage daily employee relations cases, including sickness, absence, and accidents at customer premises.
*Ensure all employee compliance documents are accurate and up to date.
*Manage all employee communications across the business.
*Act as the first point of contact for managers requiring HR guidance and support.
*Liaise with third-party suppliers for business needs such as uniforms and other HR-related services
Qualifications:
*Proven experience in HR roles with exposure to recruitment, training, and L&D.
*Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
*Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
*Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

*Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
