Description
Assistant Accountant responsibilities:
*Prepare and process financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
*Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
*Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently
*Support the team with budgeting and forecasting activities
*Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
*Work collaboratively with other departments to manage financial data
*Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required
*Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance function
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
*A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes.
*Sage 50 experience is beneficial.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
*Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred
