About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to deliver expert HR advice and support across this Council, schools, and partner settings. You’ll play a key role in shaping policy, driving best practice, and influencing a positive employment culture.
What You’ll Do
*Act as a trusted HR partner, providing professional advice on employment law, policy, and best practice.
*Lead on HR projects and policy development, ensuring compliance and innovation.
*Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to influence outcomes.
*Represent the Council in forums, negotiations, and employment tribunals.
*Deliver training, briefings, and reports to support informed decision-making.
*Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion across all HR activities.
What We’re Looking For
*Excellent communication and influencing skills – both written and verbal.
*Ability to work independently under pressure and manage competing priorities.
*Strong negotiation skills and confidence interpreting legislation.
*Proven ability to supervise and motivate others.
*Computer literate and comfortable with HR systems.
*Commitment to delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service.

*Willingness to travel to schools and offices and work flexibly when needed.
