Accounts Assistant
Rotherham
Up to £30,000 per annum

Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our Rotherham-based client as they look to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their busy and growing finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused, proactive finance professional looking to take ownership of a broad range of transactional and month-end responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
*Maintain accurate daily banking records, including credit card transactions
*Manage daily cashflow and prepare the Daily Cash Book report
*Calculate and issue daily bank payments
*Enter all associated transactions into Sage, including purchase ledger payments, direct debits, and credit card transactions
*Liaise with credit card holders to collect receipts and resolve transaction queries
*Process purchase invoices as required
*Produce internal and external financial reports on a regular basis or on request
*Support month-end close by updating spreadsheets, posting journals, and setting up accruals and prepayments
*Update and maintain the Fixed Asset Register and prepare monthly fixed asset lists
*Assist with additional management reporting and support the annual group audit
*Effectively utilise financial systems
*Provide general financial and administrative support across the finance function
Experience:
*Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance environment
*Data processing experience (invoices, bank transactions, journals)
