Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Care Home Manager to lead the operational, clinical, and strategic management of our 75-bed care home in Hertfordshire. In this full-time role (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm), you will oversee a well-established team—including a Deputy Manager, Team Leaders, and Clinical Nurses—while reporting directly to Senior Management.
You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care and maintaining full compliance with CQC standards. With a salary of up to £70,000 per annum, this position offers an excellent opportunity for a strong and compassionate leader who is committed to achieving high-quality outcomes and driving continuous improvement within a supportive and well-resourced environment.
Duties and responsibilities
*Provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care, dignity, and wellbeing for all residents.
*Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislative and organisational requirements.
*Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team including the Deputy Manager, Team Leaders, and Clinical Nurses.
*Manage budgets, staffing, and resources efficiently to maintain operational excellence and financial sustainability.
*Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management to build a positive and high-performing team culture.
*Engage effectively with residents, families, external professionals, and regulatory bodies.
*Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and service development initiatives.
*Maintain clear, accurate, and compliant records and documentation.
*Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents and staff.
Experience and qualifications
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management role within a residential or nursing care home.
*Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
*Proven leadership ability with experience managing large teams.
*Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
*Ability to maintain high-quality care standards while managing operational demands.
*Strong financial and resource management skills.
*A compassionate, resident-focused approach with commitment to outstanding care.
