Position: Nursery Practitioner – Level 3
Type: Temporary in the first instance with possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate
Pay: ~£13.68 an hour


A wonderful opportunity has arisen to work in a home-from-home family-run nursery in Gosforth.


Key Responsibilities
*Provide attentive care and support to children aged 0–5, ensuring their safety and overall well-being.
*Plan and implement engaging EYFS-based activities to support social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.
*Manage daily nursery routines: meals, naps, playtime, and personal care.
*Conduct accurate observations, maintain developmental records, and share children’s progress with parents/carers.
*Build strong relationships with children, families, and the nursery team to create a welcoming and nurturing environment.
*Support leadership in upholding high standards of education, safety, and well-organized environment.


Qualifications & Requirements
*Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education (e.g., NVQ Level 3, NNEB, or equivalent).
*Previous nursery or early years work experience is essential.
*Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and welfare requirements.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in English.
*Ability to organize, multitask, remain calm under pressure, use initiative, and work effectively within a team.
*Enhanced DBS check required; paediatric first aid certification is desirable.
