Job Description:
Role: Commercial Debt Recoveries Solicitor
Location: Banbury
Salary: DOE
An established and well-respected regional law firm is seeking a Commercial Debt Recoveries Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution team based in Banbury.
The Role
*You will manage a varied caseload of commercial debt recovery matters, acting for a broad portfolio of businesses ranging from SMEs to national organisations. The work will include:
*Advising clients on pre-action strategy and recovery prospects
*Issuing county court and high court proceedings
*Enforcement action, including charging orders, third-party debt orders and insolvency processes
*Drafting pleadings, statements of case and settlement agreements
*Conducting negotiations and managing defended debt claims
*Working closely with internal teams and maintaining strong client relationships
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
*2+ years’ PQE within commercial litigation or debt recovery (all levels considered)
*Strong knowledge of the CPR and debt recovery procedures
*A commercial, solution-focused approach
*Excellent communication and client-care skills
*Ability to manage volume work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
