Technical Administrator - Gifting
Location: Alconbury
Salary: £30,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (40 hours per week)

Our client a leading business within the food and gifting sector is seeking a Technical Administrator - Gifting to join its Technical team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of product specifications and labelling for a diverse hampers and gifting range. The successful candidate will support products from concept approval through to launch, ensuring compliance with all food safety, quality, and legal standards.

The Technical Administrator - Gifting will be responsible for managing product specifications, maintaining technical data, and ensuring all labelling meets food safety and legal requirements. Working closely with internal teams, the role ensures customer standards are met throughout the product development and launch process.

Duties

*Provide administrative and technical support for the hampers and gifting product range.
*Maintain accurate product specifications using retailer systems, ensuring compliance with allergen, labelling, and food safety requirements.
*Prepare and organise technical documentation to support product launches.
*Ensure all food safety data—such as allergen details and nutritional information—is correctly captured and up to date.
*Become fully competent in retailer specification systems and input technical data accurately.
*Ensure product specifications are completed and approved within agreed timelines.
*Maintain compliance with legal standards relating to food safety, allergen declarations, nutritional information, and packaging.
*Support the development of gifting products from initial concept to final launch.
*Collaborate with Technical, NPD, and Procurement teams to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
*Confirm all technical documentation and labelling are complete before launch deadlines.
*Ensure ongoing compliance with food safety regulations, including allergen control and HACCP principles.
*Maintain awareness of food legislation changes and communicate impacts where necessary.
*Support risk management processes for food-containing hampers.
*Act as a key point of contact for technical queries regarding gifting and hamper products.
*Develop strong relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure all technical requirements are delivered efficiently.
*Work closely with NPD, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless communication.
The Candidate

*Previous experience in a Specification Technologist or Technical Administration role within the food industry.
*Strong knowledge of food safety, allergens, and labelling legislation.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant IT platforms.
*Excellent organisational, time-management, and data-handling skills.
